Playing in just his second SOS event, Lewis Stephenson of Mansfield, Texas was able to hold of Neil Vanleeuwen, Tarpon Springs, FL in a sudden death victory on the second playoff hole.
Stephenson's last SOS appearance was the 2017 Tutwiler where he finished fourth. Vanleeuwen, playing in his first SOS event found himself in a deadlock for first place after regulation play at 224 strokes. After exchanging pars on the first playoff hole, Stephenson a former Texas State Mid Amateur Champion, carded a par to Vanleeuwen's bogey for the win.
