ZION CROSSROADS, Va. - Round two of the 22nd John Kline Championship got underway on Wednesday under clear skies and breezy conditions at Spring Creek Golf Club. Leaders from each division extended their lead heading into tomorrow's final round shotgun start, which will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Stephen Fox fired the round of the day with a sparkling 5-under par 67 that featured six birdies against just one bogey. Fox leads the Legend division by nine strokes over Evan Long and Peter Van Ingen.
In the Grand Master division, Johnny Blank played steady golf en route to a second round 73, positioning himself at 1-under for the tournament and eight strokes ahead of Dennis Younglove.
Bryan Hancock entered red numbers in round two with a 1-under round of 71 to extend his lead to nine strokes over Jeff Semple in the Senior division.
In the Super Senior division, Gregory Goode extended his lead to six strokes after being tied for the lead with Peter Malo after one round. In third place is Michael Arter, who shot a 1-under round of 71 on Wednesday with a hole-in-one on the 17th hole with a 6-iron from 165 yards. Arter also made a hole-in-one at Spring Creek on Sunday during a practice round on the 8th hole with a 9-iron.
